My Journey & How I Got Started
I’m Arvind. I got serious about Indian credit cards a little over four years ago—and that rabbit hole is what let me book 20+ free flights and 30+ free five-star stays while holding multiple credit cards.

Since then, I haven’t really exited the game. It started as an obsession with maximising every swipe; now I keep playing because the “free” experiences are still ridiculous when you know how to stack cards, portals, and loyalty programmes.
I mean—why not?
Why leave complimentary lounges, free hotel stays, milestone vouchers, and transfer bonuses on the table when the same spend was going to happen anyway?

A recent example: a complimentary luxury airport transfer on a premium card—airport to hotel in a chauffeured car that would have cost thousands in cash. Same trip, better arrival, money still in the wallet. And when the stay itself is on points, the key card feels even better.

So why am I here?
Years ago I was searching for a single place that explained Indian credit cards clearly—what actually earns, what got cut, which loyalty programmes still make sense—and most of what I found was either outdated, salesy, or buried in forum threads without sources.
So I built Travel on Points: an independent editorial site that tracks offers, launches, devaluations, and loyalty how-tos for people who actually spend and redeem in India.
The goal is simple—help you spend wisely so you earn more Reward Points, cashback, miles, and vouchers, then burn them on flights and hotels instead of leaving value unused. If you read here regularly, cash fares and rack hotel rates should start to feel optional.

What Travel on Points does
