Visa Power Travel 2026: 0.5% + 10% Tap bonus, ends 30 September

Visa Power Travel pays 0.5% on eligible overseas spends with an India-issued Visa debit, credit, or prepaid card, plus an extra 10% Tap bonus when you pay with Google Pay or Samsung Pay (or at a listed Visa partner). The campaign runs through 30 September 2026, or until reward stock runs out. Register, track, and redeem on visapowertravel.com.
Rewards are Air India or Amazon gift cards in ₹1,000 blocks, capped at ₹50,000 per card. The 0.5% layer is modest; the 10% Tap / partner bonus is the reason to bother. That campaign value sits on top of your bank’s own rewards — it does not cancel forex markup. Decline DCC so a worse exchange rate does not eat the rebate before it posts.

How the 0.5% + 10% Tap bonus works
- Base 0.5%: eligible in-person POS purchases and ATM cash withdrawals in the 11 destinations. A USD 100 ATM withdrawal in the US earns about USD 0.50, converted at the VisaNet settlement rate.
- Extra 10% Tap / partner: Google Pay or Samsung Pay Tap to Pay, or spend at a listed Visa partner (any payment method on the card). A SGD 100 Google Pay tap in Singapore is about SGD 10 + SGD 0.50 base.
- Jetsetter ₹10,000: a one-time 10% bonus on the first ₹1,00,000 of eligible spend after at least 20 eligible transactions on that card. ATM withdrawals do not count toward this milestone.
A physical chip-and-PIN or contactless tap of the plastic is not the wallet Tap to Pay path. The T&Cs name Google Pay and Samsung Pay. If you Tap to Pay at a Visa partner, the extra 10% is awarded once — not twice. Online spends at non-partners do not earn the campaign, with the partner-portal exceptions below.
On the first ₹1 lakh of fully stacked eligible spend (base + Tap/partner + Jetsetter) the campaign maths can approach ~20.5% before the ₹50,000 per-card cap — only if those transactions actually qualify. The 0.5% base alone will not cover a typical credit-card forex markup.
Destinations and Visa partners
Select destinations in the T&Cs: Australia, France, Japan, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA, and Vietnam. Klook is the partner in every destination; Singapore and Thailand have the longest merchant lists.
| Country | Listed Visa partners |
|---|---|
| Australia, France, Japan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, UK, USA, Vietnam | Klook |
| UAE | Klook, Bolt rides |
| Thailand | Grab, Klook, King Power Duty Free (named airports/stores), Gourmet Market (named branches), Safari World Bangkok (admission tickets on-site) |
| Singapore | Grab, Klook, Gardens by the Bay (Flower Dome / Cloud Forest / Floral Fantasy tickets), Universal Studios Singapore, Lotte Duty Free (Changi T1–T4), Mustafa Centre & Mustafa Jewellery, Resorts World Sentosa (rwsentosa.com), Skyline Luge Sentosa, Singapore Oceanarium |
- Grab wallet top-ups do not qualify — the ride or service must hit the card (statement typically shows GRAB*).
- Klook needs the statement description to contain “Klook”.
- Prepaid hotel bookings on unrelated OTAs do not qualify. Direct partner portals (for example rwsentosa.com) can.
- Gardens by the Bay, USS, and Oceanarium partner rates are for eligible admission tickets, not food, drinks, or retail.
How to register and redeem on visapowertravel.com
- Open visapowertravel.com. Enter the 16-digit Visa number, CVV, expiry, and registered mobile; confirm the OTP.
- You can enrol after you travel. Eligible spends are tracked from the campaign start, but only transactions that settle in VisaNet during 20 April–30 September 2026 count.
- Spends post weekly, with up to 15 days’ delay from the VisaNet settlement date. Silence for a week is normal.
- Redeem Air India or Amazon gift cards in ₹1,000 blocks, up to ₹50,000 per card. Pick one reward category per redemption. Stock is first-come, first-served.
- Air India vouchers work in INR on the Air India website or app, not at airport counters.
Support for the campaign site is Razorpay, not your bank: [email protected].
Forex, DCC, and what not to use this for
- The extra 10% can outweigh most forex markups. The 0.5% base usually cannot.
- A zero-forex Mastercard on a non-Tap spend can still beat a high-markup Visa that only earns 0.5% here.
- Credit-card ATM withdrawals earn the 0.5% base but typically attract cash-advance fees, ATM charges, markup, and immediate interest.
- Pay in local currency. DCC prices the sale before any Power Travel rebate. See how to avoid DCC abroad.
- Each Visa card is a separate ledger: ₹50,000 cap, Jetsetter, and the 20-transaction count are per card.
Other Visa extras still running
From 1 July to 30 September 2026 the same T&Cs add a one-time International Student Education Bonus of ₹12,000 when eligible online tuition / overseas education payments total at least ₹1.2 lakh. Education-loan EMIs to banks or NBFCs do not count. That is a separate bucket from Power Travel POS spends.
There is also a ₹1,000 Amazon referral voucher if four friends enrol with your code and add a Visa card, and you make one qualifying in-person or partner spend in a select destination.
Quick FAQ
What is visapowertravel.com?
The official Visa Power Travel campaign site. You register your India-issued Visa card there, watch eligible spends post, and redeem Air India or Amazon gift cards. It is not a bank login.
What is the Visa Power Travel offer?
0.5% on eligible in-person spends and ATM withdrawals in 11 destinations, plus 10% extra on Google Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay or listed partners, plus a ₹10,000 Jetsetter bonus after ₹1 lakh across 20 transactions. Ends 30 September 2026.
Does a normal contactless tap of the plastic card count for the 10%?
Not as the Tap to Pay path. The T&Cs name Google Pay and Samsung Pay. A partner-merchant spend can still get the extra 10% with any payment method on the card, including a physical tap at that partner.
Which destinations qualify?
Australia, France, Japan, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA, and Vietnam.
Can I use more than one Visa card?
Yes. Caps, Jetsetter, and transaction counts are per eligible card. Each card must meet the conditions on its own.
Does Visa Power Travel replace my card’s forex benefits?
No. Net campaign value against markup, GST on markup, cash-advance fees, and your card’s own international earn. Chase the 10% Tap / partner layer; do not switch to a high-markup Visa just for the 0.5% base.
