Maximize adds KrisFlyer transfers (2 MaxCoins = 1 mile)

On 23 August 2026 Maximize switched on MaxCoins → Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. The launch ratio is 2 MaxCoins = 1 KrisFlyer mile — the same 2:1 they already use for Accor ALL. That is the door into Suites, Business Saver, Spontaneous Escapes, Scoot awards, and Star Alliance metal booked through KrisFlyer, not a bank transfer.
What went live
- Ratio: 2 MaxCoins → 1 KrisFlyer mile (launch offer through 31 Dec 2026)
- From 1 Jan 2027: 3 MaxCoins → 1 mile, per Singapore Airlines’ Maximize listing
- You must already be a KrisFlyer member; enrol on SIA’s site if you are not
- Support on Maximize’s side: WhatsApp +91 8904905788 or [email protected]
Maximize’s thread sells the aspirational side: Suites, Business, 30% Spontaneous Escapes, Scoot, Star Alliance, and even KrisFlyer conversions onward into hotels. All of that is real KrisFlyer inventory — none of it is reserved by a MaxCoins transfer. Award space and taxes still apply.
India sweet spots Maximize quoted
These are Maximize’s one-way Business Saver figures from the 23 August thread. Treat them as a starting map, not a live award chart. Some routings price differently; availability and carrier-imposed taxes sit on top.
| Route (one-way Business Saver*) | Miles Maximize cited |
|---|---|
| India ↔ Singapore | 45,000 |
| Japan / Korea via Singapore | 88,000 |
| Australia / NZ via Singapore | 100,000 |
| US West Coast via Singapore | 133,000 |
| India ↔ Singapore Suites / First (selected A380 from BOM & DEL) | 61,500 |
On India–Singapore, Maximize also flagged that the right cash fare can push value past ₹5 per mile. That only holds if you would have bought that cabin in cash. Price the cash ticket first, then divide by miles — including the MaxCoins it took to get those miles.
Spontaneous Escapes (Sep 2026 window)
Selected Singapore Airlines flights take 30% off Saver. For September 2026, Maximize said selected India ↔ Singapore Business awards were 31,500 miles — book by 31 August 2026 for travel 1–30 September. Selected flights, seats, and blackouts apply. If you are reading after that book-by date, look for the next Spontaneous Escapes drop rather than assuming 31,500 still exists.
KrisFlyer also runs Global Redemption Sales and other Promo Awards. Maximize’s sequence is the right one: find the seat, check Spontaneous Escapes or a promo, compare Saver, transfer only when you can book.
Scoot, Star Alliance, and other exits
- Scoot: KrisFlyer can book Scoot Saver and Advantage. Maximize cited Economy awards from 1,500 miles one-way on selected routes from Singapore — useful for cheap intra-Asia hops, not only Suites.
- Star Alliance: redeem KrisFlyer on Air India, ANA, Lufthansa, SWISS, Turkish Airlines, United, and others. You stay inside KrisFlyer; you are not transferring miles into those programmes. Partner fuel surcharges can be large — price the cash copay.
- Onward conversions from KrisFlyer (ratios, caps, and eligibility apply): Marriott Bonvoy, Accor Live Limitless, Shangri-La Circle, Velocity Frequent Flyer, and more. Converting twice (MaxCoins → KrisFlyer → hotel) is usually a last resort, not a plan.
When 2:1 is worth it
If you already hold HSBC TravelOne / Premier or HDFC Infinia / Diners Black with a 1:1 KrisFlyer transfer, those bank doors usually beat 2 MaxCoins per mile. Maximize is the play when MaxCoins is the currency you actually have — shopping cashback, hotel bookings, gift cards — and you have a bookable Saver or Spontaneous Escapes seat.
At 2:1, a 45,000-mile India–Singapore Business Saver costs 90,000 MaxCoins. After 1 January 2027 the same seat is 135,000 MaxCoins at the listed 3:1. If you know you will book in 2026, transferring during the launch window is the whole point of the rate.
Practical checklist
- Open a KrisFlyer account with passport-matching name, same as Maximize.
- Search Singapore Airlines award space (Saver first). Screenshot miles + taxes.
- Check whether Spontaneous Escapes or a KrisFlyer promo undercuts Saver.
- In Maximize, confirm the live MaxCoins → KrisFlyer ratio and any minimum.
- Transfer only what the booking needs, then wait for the KrisFlyer statement — SIA says up to 30 business days.
- Book as soon as miles post. A transfer does not hold the seat.
